XP can not access Windows7 shared files solution

Many LAN users found that after installing Windows7, the folders in the network will be shared with each other, there will be problems, often the computer installed XP system can not access the shared folder of Windows7, Some can see the shared directory under Windows 7, but once they enter the directory, they will be prompted to have no access rights. After the painstaking research of the author in recent days, I finally found that only a few steps to modify, can make XP and Windows 7 interoperable, no longer the shared folder can not be accessed.

First, go to the "Network and Sharing Center" to set up and turn off the Windows firewall. Although there is an insecure risk to doing so, in order to achieve mutual access between different systems, it is only a last resort.

After closing the Windows Firewall, you want to go next to the firewall settings interface on the left of the "Advanced Settings" on the "Inbound Rules" and "Outbound Rules" to be modified. In these two rules, find the "File and Printer Sharing" option and set all of its options to "Allow all connection".

After completing the above settings, you need to enter the “User Account”, open the “Guest” account, and open the corresponding sharing function in the system service. At this point, the sharing settings have been almost completed. Finally, set the corresponding shared folder. If you are familiar with the XP sharing settings, you can basically operate the following settings very conveniently. The concept of sharing Windows 7 settings is almost the same as XP. The difference is that the path is different.

The first step is to select the folder to be shared, right click and select "Properties", select "Advanced Sharing" in the "Share" tab, and put the hook before "Share this folder" Then click "Add" - "Advanced" - "Find Now" in "Permissions". Then select "Everyone" and "Guest" in the search results and confirm.

Through the above steps, you can basically solve the problem that 99% of XP can't access the shared folder of Windows7. Of course, it is not ruled out that the access exception still occurs through the above methods. For this reason, it is recommended to temporarily disable the installation of additional anti-virus software or a third-party network firewall such as Skynet to prevent other network firewalls from obstructing access.
