Windows7 "streaking" will incur 80% of virus intrusion

Recently, the well-known British security vendor Sophos said that Windows 7 User Account Control (hereinafter referred to as "UAC") security function can only protect against 20% of viruses.

"Streaking" state (ie no anti-virus software installed), under the default system settings of Windows 7, Sophos uses 10 new viruses to test UAC, the result Only 2 viruses were prevented.

UAC is designed to prevent unauthorized software from running, and most current viruses can bypass this barrier. This shows that the security of Windows7 is not much better than the previous version, users still need to install anti-virus software after purchasing a new PC.
