Some experience of installing XP system on U disk

Nowadays computers are becoming more and more popular, and notebooks have become a necessity in young people's lives. The notebook is all good, the only inconvenient place is that if the system collapses, it is more troublesome to do the system. This weekend, I studied for a morning and finally learned to use the U disk as the boot disk to re-create the system for the notebook. I think this method is much simpler than using a CD-ROM drive, so I will share it with my friends in the jar.

Let's introduce the next two protagonists, Kingston 8G U disk and Malata 81005 notebook. My Malata 81005 book was started a few years ago. In the New Year, I encountered a relatively serious virus invasion. After the anti-virus system, the system has not been too smooth, but the work is busy, and I have no time to do the new system. I am more relaxed today, so I am determined to get rid of the old system.

U disk boot disk production:

1, U disk format: It is recommended to use U disk with more than 1G capacity (because you want to copy the system and U disk boot software, so there must be enough space ), first use Flashboot to format the U disk into one of USB-HDD or USB-ZIP modes. I chose the USB-ZIP mode, which is a good support for this Malata notebook.

2, U disk version WinPE: think of the pain of installing XP under DOS, so prepare to use the U disk version WinPE to start the XP system installation, and later the test is indeed feasible. I downloaded the old peach winpe u disk version on the Internet. In addition to WinPE, there are various common tools. After unzipping, copy the files into the formatted U disk.

Windows XP system installation:

1. Set U disk boot: press F2 key to enter BIOS setup after booting, open the third USB boot option in Boot menu, select Enabled. Save and exit the BIOS setup.

2, copy all the previously prepared XP installation disk into the U disk, then insert the U disk and boot, directly into the U disk boot, the boot menu appears, choose to start the mini WIN-PE (by After the old peaches, they entered the WinPE system. Copy the XP installation disk from the U disk into the partition outside the C area of the small one. I have two partitions, that is, copy it in the D area, and then directly run the SETUP.EXE file of the installation disk folder, and the familiar XP appears. Install the interface, follow the prompts to complete step by step.

I don't really like to use the online GHOST installation disk. I feel that the normal installation is more stable step by step. After all the installations, GOHST backup is performed, which is convenient for future use. If you have a friend who is used to installing the system with GHOST recovery method, copy the image file directly into the U disk and copy it to the partition outside the C area. Use the Norton GHOST32 that comes with the old peach WinPE to restore the system directly to the C area. It is.
