Analysis: IE virtualization solution under Windows7 (3)

        What about other virtualization solutions?

Because IE is merged into the operating system, the application virtualization solution is not suitable for IE 7 and IE 6
virtualization.

The entire operating system needs to be virtualized to get a previous version of IE. By doing this, you can prevent system conflicts that occur if IE is treated as an application. In order to reduce the cost of the operating system of the customer, you can use the software restriction policy in Wind
ows XP and the group policy setting to lock the virtual environment in IE 6.

The following table provides a comparison of desktop virtualization and compatibility topics. In this table, device virtualization (or full virtualization) includes Windows Virtual PC, Windows xp mode, and MED-V; access virtualization includes terminal services.
