Win7 reduces hard disk pressure

Stop unnecessary services and reduce hard disk pressure The system services that can be called "hard disk killer" in Win7 are mainly the following three: Windows Defender, Windows Search, and Volume Shadow Copy. Windows Defender is Win7's own system protection software. The main function is to remove simple Trojans and rogue software. As long as anti-virus software is installed on the computer, it is not important. Windows Search provides an indexing service. When you search for a file on your computer, it speeds up the search, but even if you turn it off, the search speed will not be significantly affected. We don't need the Volume Shadow Copy service. The file attributes in Win7 have a "previous version" item. The average user does not need the entire function. Now let's turn off these services step by step. Stop the service in the control center
Press the “WIN” and “R” keys on the keyboard at the same time, enter “Services.msc” in the pop-up dialog box, and click OK to see an interface. Win7's various system services are concentrated here, we can choose to close or open it. In this case, find "Windows Defender". After double-clicking, a dialog box will pop up. Click "Startup Type" and select "Disable" in the drop-down menu. The entire system service will be stopped. The way Windows Search and Volume Shadow Copy are disabled is similar. Stop two functions to reduce hard disk pressure
In addition to the above three processes, some small settings for Win7 can also protect the hard disk, and these settings will not affect our use of the system. Close System Restore
Click "Computer" "Properties" "System Protection", select "Configuration", and then select "Turn off System Protection" in the subsequent interface. The so-called system protection here is actually the automatic backup function of Win7. If you don't need to restore the system frequently, you can turn it off completely. Select "Turn off system protection"
Cancel file compression and indexing
The purpose of file compression is to save disk space, but in fact this function does not save much hard disk space, almost no actual effect. . The purpose of file indexing is to allow users to find files on the hard disk faster. This function is good, but Win7 often checks the index when it is idle, causing a large number of hard disk read and write operations. Right click on the hard drive letter and select "Properties" on the menu. On the pop-up interface, "Compress this drive to save disk space" and "In addition to file attributes, also allow indexing of the contents of files on this drive" The two small hooks in front are removed. Then click OK to exit. However, such operation recommendations are only for non-system disks, such as D, E, F disks, etc., which we use to store movies or music, and the system disk is better.
