Refuse to repeat the work, change the Win 7 file association

There must be many users and the author. After reinstalling the operating system, the most troublesome thing is not to "reinstall the commonly used software", but to re-associate some common after installing the software. File and default open program.

For example, before Windows 7 users reinstall the system, the default programs for opening AVI, MP3, RMVB and other files are Windows Media Player 12. Once the system is reinstalled, due to the need to reinstall the commonly used software, the default opening of these three types of files will also change. You need to re-associate the three files AVI, MP3, and RMVB with WMP 12 (that is, run AVI, MP3). When the RMVB file is used, the program called by the system by default is WMP 12).

If you are a Windows 7 user now, you can avoid such duplication of effort, without having to re-associate the default opener one by one. Continue with WMP 12 as an example:

Click the "Start" button and select "Default Program" from the pop-up menu. Later, the "Set Default Program" dialog will open. Select "Windows Media Player" in the list on the left, then click the button in the red box in the lower right corner (see Figure 1).

At this point, the system will pop up a dialog box again (Figure 2):

In Figure 2, Windows 7 users can modify the need/disable WMP 12 in batches. The file format is open.
