Set up a wake-up goal for the Windows 7 folder navigation area

Be prepared, you need to collect some transparent background icon files in .ico format and store them in a relatively fixed place. Let's get started, first start the Registry Editor; navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MacHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\explorer\\Shell Icons.

Note: If the explorer does not find the Shell Icons item, right click on the explorer, "new" an "item", rename it to "Shell Icons", note Case and space in the middle.

Then enter the right pane, right click to create a new "string value" and name it "4" (if this "4" does not exist), and finally right click on the "4" select "Modify (M ), "Data Value" fill in the full path of the icon you want to transform, and then exit the Registry Editor after confirming.

Save the work you are doing on your hands, log out of the system and log back in, then open the Explorer to see if the selected folder icon has changed. Not only is there a change in this place, look at the program folder in the Start menu, or check the Registry Editor again.
