Win7 automatically open the problem after downloading the compressed file

Question: Many friends have encountered such a problem, when using a browser to download compressed files such as Zip or RAR, there is no "download dialog", but directly The compressed file is open. This is quite inconvenient for saving the file. Is there any way to solve it?

Analysis: In fact, all downloaded files will be saved in the "Temporary Internet Files" folder when they are downloaded. After downloading, save them to the specified location. If you accidentally cancel the check box in the "Always ask before opening such file" option in the download dialog box, it will be opened directly after the download is completed using the program associated with this file type. Therefore, the download dialog does not appear.

However, the processing methods under XP, Vista and Windows7 are different. Let's look at it separately:

1, if you are a Windows XP system:

Open "Folder Options" in the Control Panel, click to switch to the "File Type" tab in the window that opens, click on the ZIP or RAR file in the selected list, as shown below:

Click "Advanced", and select the radio button of "Confirm open after downloading" in the pop-up window.

OK, this is done!

2, if you are a Windows7 or Vista system:

The solution explained above is only for XP. In view of the increasing number of users using Vista /Windows 7, the following is for everyone. Explain the solution under Vista /Windows 7.

Method: Compared with the XP method, this method is not difficult. "Start" - "Run" - "regeit32" open the registry editor, and then navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsShellAttachmentExecute{0002DF01-0000-0000-C000-000000000046}", delete the ZIP/RAR key value under it.
