Description of the problem:

Windows 7 32-bit system, when opening the resource manager, the total prompt: mmc.exe - can not find the ordinal number, can not locate the ordinal number 6928 on the dynamic link library MFC42u.dll. How can I solve this problem?

Reason analysis:

This is mainly caused by the loss of the MFC42u.dll dynamic link library file in the system. Many reasons may cause the dynamic link library file to be damaged or Loss, such as virus infection systems, installing some software, optimizing systems, human factors, etc., can cause system dynamic link library files to be corrupted. Once a dynamic link library file is damaged, related applications or system components are implicated and cannot be used normally.

Solution:

In this case, just go to the same version of the system, or copy the completed dynamic link library file from the professional DLL download site and copy it to the system. The Windows\\System32 directory under the directory will solve the problem. Some dynamic link library files also need to be manually registered once. The method is not difficult. Just use the “Regsvr32.exe” command in the “Run” box to register with the dynamic link library file name.
