Transforming Windows 7 into XP, making the operation more familiar with

Compared with Windows XP, the appearance and start menu of Windows 7 are very different. After upgrading to Windows 7, the newbie may not use the Start menu, and through Windows7. Starting the menu to start the program is also more cumbersome, requiring 8 or 9 actions to open a program, while XP requires only 5 actions. Although we can overcome it, I am used to the operation of Windows7, but for many friends, the habit is more difficult to change, so it is necessary to put the XP coat on Windows7 and let Windows7 have the start menu and resource manager like XP. So how do you do this?

Enable Classic Theme Mode

If you are not used to Windows 7's personalized glass effects theme, you can turn it off and enable classic themes. For some computers with poor configuration, turn off the glass performance to improve the running speed.

Right click on the blank space of the desktop, select Personalize, select "Windows Classic" in the theme selection interface that opens, wait a moment, you can see that the theme becomes similar to XP after closing all the special effects. The interface is more intimate? But this is not enough, just add a layer of skin, we also need to change the commonly used start menu, resource manager, etc. to XP style.

●Use the classic theme interface

Change the start menu to XP style

As long as you install Classical Shell, Windows7 Start Menu, Explorer, File Replacement dialog And the file transfer dialog will all become XP!

First login to Windows7 as an administrator account, download Classical Shell, unzip and expand the download package after completion. Double-click the ClassicShellSetup.exe to install it. If you follow the general software, click Next to start the installation. Check the software agreement. The Classic Start Menu and Classic Explorer installation options will appear. If you want to restore the Windows 7 Start Menu and Explorer to XP, you should check these 2 items. By default, these 2 items are Checked, if you don't want to restore a Classic project, don't check it.

●XP style start menu

Classical Shell installation, open the Windows7 start menu, you will find the menu becomes familiar XP classic mode; right click with the mouse Select the property from the start menu, and then click the "HotKey to use instead of the Win key" setting to use the key to quickly launch the XP menu, set a quick key (such as `), and then just press the key (Ctrl+Alt+` ), the Windows 7 start menu will be displayed as XP.

Tips: If the classic XP start menu fails to become the Windows 7 start menu, we must use the shortcut keys to use the XP classic menu.

●Set as tree display

The resource manager can also be changed to XP style

Classical Shell can restore the classic start menu, and also restore Windows7 Explorer Into XP.

After installing the Classical Shell, open the Windows7 Explorer, click "Organize", then click "Layout Configuration/Function List; right click on the blank space of the Explorer toolbar to bring up a menu and search for Classic. Explorer Bar" menu item, so that the upper part of the resource manager will have a toolbar line like XP, you can click to cut, paste, copy and other functions without having to enter the secondary menu to select; then click on the toolbar The rightmost button will pop up a settings window, search for Enable classic tree style to restore the resource manager to a traditional tree directory like XP, and look for Display simple folder view to allow the resource manager Revert to a simple tree directory, and search for Use big buttons" to make the buttons in the toolbar larger.

Tips: File Transfer Dialog Box Can replace

After installing the Classical Shell, the file replacement dialog and the file transfer dialog will also be changed to XP. The Save As menu will also become XP style, but I feel this display method. Not very compatible with Windows7, you can use it according to your own situation.
