Enable Win8 system to start screen map application positioning skills

As a new generation of Microsoft operating system, Win8 has a more beautiful interface design, operation is simpler and faster. With the increasing popularity of Win8, more and more users are beginning to experience this new system. In the Win8 system, the original start menu of the Windows system was canceled, the start screen function was added, and a variety of Metro applications were preset in the start screen.
Here, I will introduce you to the positioning function of the "Map" application in the Win8 start screen. Click the <quo;map” button on the start screen to run the map software.

After the map software is running, right click on the screen to display the operation menu at the bottom of the screen. In the lower right corner, there are “My Location" and “Route” function options.

Because the map system is not enabled in the Windows system default state, the location information cannot be obtained when clicking "My Location".

To turn on the map positioning function, you first need to change the Windows system positioning settings. In operation, select "Enable Windows positioning platform" in the positioning settings option in the control panel.

Next, in the privacy settings of the computer settings interface, open the "Allow app to use my location" function. This will re-enable the map software and use the location feature.

After re-running the Start Screen Map app, you will first be prompted to "Can the map use your location", and once confirmed, you can locate your location on the map.
