Borrowing the built-in function to start menu for win8.1 system

In the user's long-awaited call, the start button finally returns to Windows 8.1, but there are still a lot of users dissatisfied: because they really want more than just a start button There are also "start menus" that have been with them for many years. However, many people may not know that only need to change the settings of Windows 8.1, you can re-visit the "Start Menu" when pressing the Start button (of course, there is still a difference in form).
This "Start Menu" is actually the "Apply" view in Windows 8.1, which is similar to the previous Start menu. All installed programs and system setup options can be found here.

Windows 8.1 Application View
In addition to the presentation form is very similar to the start menu, the most important reason to say that it can replace the start menu is that when you press the Windows 8.1 start button, you can open the application view directly. Just like when you click the Start button in Windows 7/XP to open the Start menu immediately, the only difference is that the Windows 8.1 application view is full screen.
This new change benefits from a new setting in Windows 8.1: Go to the start screen to automatically display the app view. When this option is checked, clicking the Start button will directly display the application view instead of the start screen. This option is located at: Desktop Taskbar Right ——Properties——Navigation tab.

Go to the start screen to automatically display the app view
In addition to this mandatory option, there are several optional mating options:
Show my desktop background on the start screen
Check The background of the post-app view will also become the desktop background. After this change, when we click the Start button to go to the App view, the visuals are closer to the previous Start menu, instead of converting the environment like Win8.
When sorting by category, first list the desktop application in the application view

Let the desktop application be in the top position
Most of the commonly used tools and games can only run in the desktop environment. So check this option to make the desktop program in the front position is still necessary, and it is also convenient to find.
By changing the above options, when we click the Start button again, we will see a full-screen start menu. Although it is not the starting menu that everyone is used to, it is basically inseparable. When you adapt to this change, I believe that you will not forget the past start menu.
