Computer Store News: Samsung has announced that it will stop developing the Bada operating system and incorporate its development resources into the Samsung Tizen operating system.

The open source operating system TIzen, previously composed of Samsung, Nokia and Intel's MeeGo solution. Now, the president of Samsung Media Solution Center told Yonhap that once the Tizen phone comes out, the Bada operating system will be completely abandoned. Samsung plans to launch multiple Tizen devices this year.

Samsung said that Tizen smart devices will be able to run applications designed for Bada devices, but existing Bada phones cannot upgrade operating systems to Tizen. The president of Samsung Media Solutions Center said that it is best not to Think of this as a simple merger, preferably as a transition to a better service. Bada is no longer suitable for the needs of modern smartphones.

More than a year ago, the outside world had heard that Samsung would merge the two operating systems into one operating system.
