There is no solution to the sound problem in Win8 system

  
You can follow the three steps below to solve the problem.
First Step: Check Hardware
Many sound problems are caused by incorrect hardware settings. This step includes checking the sound card, plugging the cable into the correct location, making sure the hardware is plugged in, and checking the volume.
Check the sound card
Check to make sure your computer has a sound card or sound processor installed and it works.
1. Open “Device Manager by: swipe from the right edge of the screen to the middle, click "Search” (If you use the mouse, point to the top right corner of the screen, then point the pointer down Move, click “Search”), type <;Device Manager> in the search box, and then click or click “Set" & "Device Manager". You may be asked to provide an administrator password or confirm your choice.
2. Double-click "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers" to expand the category. If a sound card is listed, you have already installed a sound card. If the sound card is not listed, check the information that came with your computer to see if the sound card should be installed. If a sound card should be installed, you will need to install a sound card according to the manufacturer's instructions.
If there is a yellow question mark next to the sound card name in <;Device Manager", there may be a problem with the sound card.
1. Long press or right click on the sound card name, then click or click <;properties”.
2. Click or click the "General" tab, then check the "Device Status" box to determine the problem with the sound card.
If there is a problem, you may need to install a new sound card driver. For more information, see Step 3: Update the driver.
2. Check that the cable is properly connected
Speakers and headphones
If using an external speaker, make sure the speakers are properly connected to the computer.
Many computers have three or more jacks connected to a sound card or sound processor, including a microphone jack, line input jack, and line out jack. Your speakers should be plugged into the line out jack. If you are not sure which jack is the line out jack, try plugging the speakers into each jack and seeing which jack is plugged in to make a sound.
HDMI cable
If you connect your computer to a monitor that supports HDMI and has a speaker with an HDMI cable, you may not hear the sound. The HDMI cable supports audio signals, but not all video cards that support HDMI support audio. You may also need to set up your HDMI audio device as your default audio device.
USB Audio Devices
If you are using a USB audio device and have an internal audio device installed, try the following basic troubleshooting steps:
Unplug the USB audio device and restart the audio application. Test the sound using an internal audio device. If you hear a sound, there may be a problem with the USB audio driver, or Windows does not use a USB audio device as the default audio device
Turn off all audio applications, unplug the USB audio device, wait for the USB driver to be uninstalled (this The process should be completed quickly), plug the USB audio device back into the USB port, wait for the driver to load, then launch the audio application and check the sound.
Please check if you have set the correct audio device as the default audio device in Windows and apps.
Check to see if the audio device manufacturer's website provides updated drivers.
Multiple Audio Devices
Some computers may have multiple audio devices. For example, you purchased a new computer and upgraded to a different video card during the purchase. In most cases, your computer has an onboard video device (a video chip on the motherboard) and a secondary video card. You can check if this is done by checking if there are two sets of audio connections on your computer.
Laptops and tablets usually have a set of audio plugs unless you are using a USB audio device. Follow the steps below to check the audio device and set the correct audio device as the default audio device.
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click "Search”.
(If using the mouse, point to the upper right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, then click “search”.) Enter “sound> in the search box, click or click “Set&rdquo ;, then click or click <;sound”.
2. Tap or click the “Play & rdquo; tab and find multiple audio devices that will appear as speaker icons with a speaker tag in front of the device name.
3. If there are multiple devices, a checkmark will appear next to the default device with a default tag.
4. If the wrong audio device is listed as the default audio device, tap or click the correct device, tap or click “set defaults", and then tap or click “OK".
5. Changing your audio device may require you to restart your computer. Check the power and volume
If you have a speaker, make sure the speaker is plugged in and turned on.
Make sure the speaker volume or headphone volume is not muted or too low. This check is especially important for laptops and tablets because their speakers are small and it is difficult to hear sound if the volume is too low.
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and click "Search”.
(If using the mouse, point to the upper right corner of the screen, then move the pointer down, then click “search”.) In the search box, type “adjust system volume", click or click “ Set & rdquo;, then click or click “ adjust system volume & rdquo;.
2. Move the slider up to increase the volume. Make sure the “Mute” button is not enabled. If the button looks like this: Mute is turned off. If the button looks like this: Click or click the button to turn mute off.
Step 2: Using Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting is an automated tool that can be used to find and automatically fix some computer problems. Audio troubleshooting can diagnose and fix common sound playback issues and hardware issues.
Step 3: Update the driver
To let Windows recognize your sound card or sound processor, you need to install a compatible and working driver. Expired, incompatible, or corrupted drivers may disrupt communication between the computer and the sound card.
If you recently upgraded from one version of Windows to another, the current sound card driver may only work with previous versions of Windows. If you have recently experienced a power outage, virus or other computer problem, the driver may be corrupted. In rare cases, when Windows cannot automatically update the sound card driver, you may need to download and install the latest drivers for your sound card to help resolve such issues.
There are three ways to find and install drivers:
Use Windows Update. Windows Update automatically downloads and installs recommended updates. Install all important, recommended, and optional updates to update system features and other software, which may help resolve your sound issues.
Install software from the device manufacturer. If the device comes with a CD, the CD may contain software for installing device drivers.

5. There may not be any driver updates available.
6. On the "Windows Update" page, click or click “Install Updates”. You may be asked to provide an administrator password or confirm your choice.
7.Windows Update will tell you if the update has been successfully installed. Download and install the driver yourself
If Windows can't find a driver for your sound card or sound processor and the driver software is not included with your device, you can find the driver on the manufacturer's website. Such sites typically provide driver updates in the support section.
To find the driver, first find the manufacturer and model name or number of your sound card, then visit the hardware and software vendor contact information website. Once you've found the manufacturer, visit their website to find and download the latest drivers for your sound card.
If you find an updated driver, follow the installation instructions on the website. Most drivers can install &mdash by themselves; that is, after downloading, usually just double-click the program file to start the installation, and then the driver will install it on the computer.
The drivers for some devices do not install themselves. If you downloaded a driver that you don't install yourself, follow the steps below.
You must be logged in as an administrator to perform the following steps.
