Windows 8 Consumer Preview Pre-installed App Exposure

Yesterday, the first game list of Windows 8 Consumer Preview was exposed. Today, the first pre-installed apps list for Windows 8 Consumer Preview Also made public. Informed sources revealed a list of Metro style apps pre-installed on Windows 8:

— Camera Camera;

— Messaging Messages;

— Mail Mailbox;

— Calendar Calendar;

— SkyDrive;

— People;

— Photos Photos;

— Video Videos ;

— Music Music;

These apps (and possibly more) will be pre-installed in the Windows 8 Consumer Preview and can be updated through the Windows Store. Mailbox, Calendar, People, and Messaging are the core communications applications for Windows and will not be attributed to the Windows Live brand.

It is reported that Microsoft is developing SMS messaging for Messaging applications, just like Windows Live Messenger.

The Music and Video apps are still part of the Zune brand, but they were developed by the Xbox team. It is said that the brand will be chopped down to Xbox Live before the official release of Windows 8.
