Windows8 will deprecate Live logo

Morning news, US technology blog TechCrunch reported on Saturday that Microsoft (microblogging) changed the name for multiple services in Windows8 system, unified use "Microsoft account" (MicrosoftAccount), and the Live logo that has been used in the past will no longer be used. In addition, the Microsoft Zune player will have some reservations in the Windows 8 system.

The application name in Windows8 system will be more concise. For example, the name of the mail application will be replaced by Mail instead of the original WindowsLiveMail. The name of the photo application will be replaced by Photos instead of the original Windows Live Photo Gallery. These new applications will be tightly integrated and will retain the many cross-service features of the Live version and will use the same name as the "Microsoft Account".

However, Microsoft is not completely replacing the Live logo. For example, XboxLive and its affiliates will continue to use this name, and in fact XboxLive may become the main entertainment brand in the Windows family, and will eventually replace Zune. Microsoft has been cleaning up the product over the past two years, but Zune fans don't have to worry, Zune and its hardware will continue to be retained in some form.

Applications such as Writer and Games in Microsoft Windows Live will likely remain in existing products, and Messenger applications may be integrated with Skype.
