Microsoft Windows 8 system will upgrade activation technology

According to foreign media reports, Microsoft will upgrade the OEM Activation (hardware system authorization legality verification, referred to as OA) technology in the next generation of Windows clients.

It is reported that Windows 8 will be equipped with OA 3.0 technology, but Microsoft officially did not confirm this news. It is reported that Windows 7 is equipped with OA 2.1 technology, and Windows Vista is equipped with OA 2.. Analysts believe that as original equipment manufacturers activate Windows 8 technology pre-installed in new computers, Microsoft is bound to upgrade OA technology, so upgrading OA 2.1 to OA 3.0 will have great possibilities.

Windows users should be aware that Microsoft offers a variety of Windows system activation methods. One such method is called System-Locked Pre-installation, which is the only activation method for OEMs. With OA technology, OEMs can batch activate Windows system features through the motherboard.

A copy of the Windows system of the original equipment manufacturer's computer is built into the motherboard and it cannot be ported to other computers. The specific description of OA 2.1 is as follows:

1. Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) activation is a permanent, one-time Windows 7 activation method.

2. The activation process takes place before the computer is sold, so the end user or organization does not need to do any activation.

3. The copy of Windows 7 installed by the OEM manufacturer on the computer is legal only in the featured computer. The end user can only reinstall and reactivate the system through the recovery disc provided by the OEM manufacturer.
