$1,199.99 Book Flat Mixer XPS 12

Microsoft officially began accepting Windows 8 reservations last night, and Dell also used this opportunity to pre-sell its XPS 12 hybrid device. We first saw this device at the IFA 2012 conference in late August, and now you can book it for $1,199.99. The XPS 12 features an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB RAM, 128GB hard drive and a 12.5-inch, 1920 x 1080 resolution display.

Configuration is a must, but the most interesting part of XPS 12 is its rotatable touch screen, which can be turned into a tablet or a traditional notebook —— 3.5 pounds means that it's a bit cumbersome to use it for a laptop or tablet.

In addition, Dell has upgraded the XPS One 27 and Inspiron One 23 to launch a touch-screen version for consumers to choose from. The XPS One 27 with touch screen will start at $1,599.99 with a 27-inch, 2560 x 1440 resolution touch screen, 3.2GHz Core i5 processor, 6GB RAM and 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. As for the Inspiron One 23, you can buy it for $779.99. It comes with a 23-inch, 1080p touch screen, Core i3 processor, 4GB RAM and a 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. All of Dell's Windows 8 touchscreen devices have been accepted for booking and will ship at the end of this month.
