Microsoft Windows 8 features predictions

Microsoft is sparing no effort to market Windows 7 to consumers and businesses, but the next version of the operating system called "Windows 8" has begun to move. Recently, two Microsoft research experts Rafael Rivera and Paul Thurrott sent a blog post summarizing rumors about Windows 8 functional assumptions since 2010 and Microsoft internal information, and adding their own views.

Although the exact form of Windows 8 software is still unclear, Microsoft has made it clear a few months ago that the next version of the operating system will support SoC (system-on-chip) architecture, especially for partners based. ARM systems such as Qualcomm, Nvidia and Texas Instruments. This will increase the role of Microsoft porting windows to lithography. Will Microsoft Windows 8 prepare a version for the mobile platform and another for desktops and laptops? Or by providing the same version of Windows as much as possible across multiple devices, providing a suitable user interface for touch screens and traditional keyboard and mouse input? While Microsoft has been tight-lipped for the date that the next version of Windows may launch, online chat suggests that it may appear sometime at the end of 2012. Therefore, the operating system elements mentioned in any blog can be fundamentally changed during this period. Here are some early ideas about Microsoft's upcoming Windows operating system:

1. Metro interface

2, tablet support

Microsoft has announced that the next version of Windows will support SoC (system-on-a-chip), especially in the mobile field dominated ARM system. In theory, this will allow the Windows 8 version to appear on small devices such as tablets.

5, very fast startup

Microsoft Magazine leaked slides also included The next version of Windows may include ultra-fast boot.

6, Ribbon

The blogger Rafael Rivera and Paul Thurrott introduced the Office-style Ribbon interface in an earlier version of Windows 8 Explorer based on a recent blog post posted on Rivera'. Use these tools to view libraries, process images and manage drivers.

7, new lock screen interface

Rivera and Thurrott also found a lock screen interface designed for windows phone 7 early, including time, date and (mobile device) power management icons And other elements.

8, built-in PDF reader

According to the Windows blog, Microsoft may be integrating a PDF reader with Windows 8.

9, IE's proliferation

Rivera and Thurrott also found an "expanded version" of the Internet Explorer version, using the Internet Explorer 9 renderer on the desktop, but more like A mobile browser that lets Windows 8 work as a mobile device.

10, Biometrics

HP has been incorporating more biometric hardware and software (including fingerprints and facial recognition) for its consumer and enterprise products. Microsoft may try to use the more powerful biometrics to log in to Windows 8.

11, Touch Support

If Windows 8 wants to be easier to use, it should provide more contact-centric design and functionality (or other similar interfaces)

12, historical refuge

Rumors suggest that Microsoft may integrate a Time Machine backup utility similar to Apple's Mac OS X for Windows 8.
