Windows 8 system ARM version mandatory Metro interface

There is news that ARM Windows 8-based tablets will steer clear of the traditional Windows desktop environment used by their x86 brothers. And now Microsoft has gone a step further and will cut out the Windows 8 ARM version of the Windows traditional desktop. In other words, the ARM version of Windows 8 will only provide a new style user interface codenamed "Metro", and applications developed for the Windows 8 ARM version must support this user interface.

Tablets based on Intel chips will provide metro and traditional Windows desktop environments, which will further enhance the flexibility of the Intel tablet camp application. However, Microsoft has indicated to its partners that the final draft of legacy applications supporting ARM devices has not yet been finalized.

If Microsoft finally decides that the ARM Windows 8 tablet only uses the Metro user interface, then it will let the Windows 8 ARM tablet compete directly with the iPad, while the x86 Windows8-based tablet will be positioned between the netbook and the laptop. The personal and corporate markets, to be honest, this is not a bad idea. It simplifies the news for consumers and will allow Microsoft to leverage its marketing power to recapture the market share of tablets and smartphones that competitors have snatched over the past few years.
