Windows 8 installation time is as short as 21 minutes

Microsoft today promises to greatly increase the installation speed in Windows 8. In previous versions of Windows, the process of installing the program is quite long, sometimes it takes even a day, but Microsoft today promised to significantly increase the installation speed in Windows 8. The Windows development team said in a new official blog post that the current Windows 8 installation process has been reduced from the complex installation process in Windows 7 and up to 60 screens to just a click of the mouse. In contrast, the new pure installation of Windows 7 requires a minimum of 32 minutes, while Windows 8 is 21 minutes. Medium upgrade (213,000 files, 77 applications), Windows 7 takes 131 minutes, while Windows 8 takes 42 minutes. Heavy upgrades (430,000 files, 90 applications), Windows 7 takes 188 minutes, while Windows 8 takes 46 minutes. Super upgrade (1.44 million files, 120 applications), Windows 7 takes 513 minutes, while Windows 8 takes only 52 minutes. In addition, Microsoft's ability to backward compatibility is still impressive. The Windows development team even showed a 16-bit Excel document running Windows 1990 using Windows 8. However, with the development of technology, this backward compatibility is becoming more and more difficult. Microsoft said they will rely on third-party designers to provide support.
