Graphic tutorial: Win8 new features Hyper-v experience report

  
        The Hyper-v function used to exist in the server system. In the Win8 era, Microsoft added it to the Windows 8 system. The hyper-v function is a good choice for friends who are eager to try a new leaked ISO and don't want to install it on a physical machine. I will briefly introduce the use method and hope to help everyone.
Part 1. Turn on hyper-v function
The hyper-v function only exists in Windows 8 Professional and Enterprise editions, and is not enabled by default. Of course, the method of opening is also very simple.
Click "Right and Function" in the lower left corner of the desktop, and select "Enable or Disable Windows Function" in the pop-up page. Select hyper-v in the window shown below, and click OK.

After clicking "OK", after restarting twice according to the system prompt, you can see the hyperlink-v link in the start interface.

Click "hyper-v manager" to open the main interface of hyper-v manager, as shown in the figure below.

Part 2. Set "virtual switch"
Hyper-v virtual machine is able to access the host's network resources, you can skip this step if you do not need to access the network.
After opening the hyper-v manager from the start interface, click on the “Virtual Switch Manager” shown in the red box above to start creating the virtual switch. After opening, the interface is as shown below.

In the example of accessing the external network, click "External" - "Create Virtual Switch", then you will automatically jump to the page shown below.

In the "External Network" drop-down menu, select the device you can access the external network and click "OK". Then you will see the prompt box as shown below, select "Yes".

At this point, the "virtual switch" is created, and then. . Of course, it is not the moment to witness the miracle, but the moment to create a virtual machine.
Part 3. Create a "virtual machine"
Return to the main hyper-v interface again, start creating a virtual machine, and then click "New" - "Virtual Machine" as shown in the following figure to start the virtual machine creation process. .

If you have used vb or vm before, you should not be familiar with the following steps.
The first step, "before you start"
will see an interface as shown below, click "Next".

Second Step, "Specify Name and Location"
Enter a virtual machine name you like in the interface shown below. If you want to change the location of the virtual machine, select the check box in the red box and select a custom path.

The third step, "allocate memory"
Enter a suitable memory size, 32-bit system should not be less than 1g, 64-bit system should not be less than 2g, and it is recommended to check "Use dynamic memory".

Step 4, "Configuring the Network"
If you have previously created a virtual switch, select the switch you created earlier, otherwise use the default settings for the next step.

Step 5, "Connect Virtual Hard Disk"
Select "Create Virtual Hard Disk" and name and select the storage location. If you have previously created a vhd virtual hard disk, you can also choose to use an existing virtual hard disk.

Step 6, "Installation Options"
You can choose "Install OS later", "Install OS from cd/dvd-rom" or other options, here is an example from image file installation.

Step 7, "Summary"
This shows some basic information about the virtual machine you just created.

Click to complete the system will automatically start to create, after the creation is complete, you can see the virtual machine just created in the hyper-v main interface.

Double-click the virtual machine you just created to start installing the operating system.
