How to use search function in Win8 system

  
        You can use the Search charm to search for apps, settings, and files on your computer. Use the Search charm to search for items in an open app or other apps you choose. For example, you can use the Search charm to search for new apps in the app store or contacts in the People app.

To search for an application from your computer, you can press the Windows logo key + Q simultaneously. To search for a file, press the Windows logo key +F at the same time.

To open a location in the file explorer, Please enter a path in the search box and click or click Apply. For example, if you enter C:, a list of folders in the C drive is displayed below the search box. Press the down arrow key to select a folder and continue typing until you find the path you want. Similarly, for network folders, you can type \\servershare
as the path. You can also run the file by entering the filename of the .exe file in the search box.

To view all applications in the computer, you can click or click the "Apply" and then enter the search word.

If you often use an application (such as a Web browser) to search, it can be fixed to the top of the "Search" in the application list. Long press or right click on the app and select "Fixed".

To view the details of an item in the search results, you can press or to see the path that points to the project, modification date, and file type and other information.
