EFI installed Win 8 system method: CD usb hard disk u disk

My dell e6410 notebook, the motherboard supports UEFI. In biOS, the boot mode is EFI. I thought I could install win8 directly, but I found that I could not find the startup item. So take out the dell oem win7 sp1 x64. After comparing the files, I found that under the efi folder, there is a boot folder in the efi of the dell x64 installation file, and there is also a bootx64.efi file. The reason why dell's disk can be started is definitely what it is doing. So directly copy the folder to the win8 installation disk, the boot appears, but restart after loading. It seems that win8 is still changing. Later I thought that win8 can be upgraded and installed under win7. So install win7 in efi mode, run Win8 setup directly under Win7. You're done.

summarize: Tools Required

:

1, dell installation disk, version x64

2, Win8 installation disk

3, u disk or removable hard disk, or the dials

4, ultraiso

Further, the upgrade installation disk will windows.bt and c Windows.old two folders, large, ten More G, and can't be deleted directly. The way to delete, you can run the disk cleanup, clean up the system files, and tick those two.
