What should I do if the attachment received by Win8.1 comes with mail is not recognized?

Since the introduction of the Windows 8 system, several Metro applications that come with Windows have entered the user's field of vision, including mail. Some users have noticed that the attachments received by Win8.1's own mail are not recognized. What is the situation?

The attachments received by the user's win8.1 self-contained mail application are often unrecognized (as shown in the figure). ), and there is no problem with other mail clients. Unrecognized attachment types are txt, docx, xlsx, etc., but not all attachments of this type are not recognized, but attachments with Chinese titles are not recognized, and garbled characters may appear.

Solution

It is recommended to disable all security software on the computer, and check if the system language setting, locale, and time setting are normal.

Press Win+X, select Control Panel, view the upper right corner (category), clock, area and area:

Date and Time: Check if the time is displayed correctly.

Language: Set Chinese Simplified and move above, the input method is set to the input method that comes with the system.

Area: Format, location, management settings are Chinese, China.

If the English input method is added to the system and set to the default, then try to change back to the Chinese default to see if it solves the problem.

In any case, the Windows 8.1 system comes with e-mails that appear to be txt, docx, xlsx and other types of attachments that do not recognize Chinese titles. This is a stain on the experience. I hope that with the launch of the Win10 system, Microsoft can improve the experience of its own applications.
