The user opens the file history function on win8, which can save personal data on the computer system on mobile storage or network storage. The personal data mainly includes desktop content, library content, contacts, photos and favorites. Because the backup content accounts for a large capacity, it is recommended to prepare a large-capacity mobile storage device. Once the system crashes, the file is lost, or the hard disk is damaged, you can use the saved file history to restore the previously backed up data.

First, the user enters the system desktop, presses the start button and I button on the keyboard at the same time, the computer will automatically pop up the settings window, find and click the control panel option in the window options. The control panel window will pop up automatically on the computer screen. The window has a lot of icons.

Second, find the system and security icons in the window, find and click on the file history to save your file backup copy option under the icon, you can successfully open the file history window, the large capacity mobile storage device Plug in the computer interface, find it on the left side of the window and click on the drive, find it in the lower right corner of the window and click the Enable button.

Third, the operator double-clicks the mobile storage device icon to open the mobile storage device window, and find the FileHistory folder under the file root directory, which stores the system backup data.

Return to the File History window, find it on the left side of the window and click the Advanced Settings option. The advanced settings window will automatically appear.

The operator can set the save file copy time, offline cache size and reserved save version in the window.

After a successful backup of the file history, you can restore the previously saved copy by clicking Restore Personal Folder on the left side of the window.
