How to deal with Windows8 shared files fails

Step 1: Confirm in the same workgroup

1. Find <;computer”—“property";

2. Click “Change Settings 

3. Click “Change 

4. After entering the appropriate computer name/workgroup name, click “OK> ;;

After this step is complete, restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

Step 2: Change Settings

Turn off password-protected sharing;

This method does help to share files, but it reduces network security.

Step 3: Share File Settings

1. Select the folder you want to share and right-click <;Properties>;

2. Select “Share”;< Br>

3. Select “Advanced Sharing>;

4. Select “Share this file";

5. On the "Security" page, single Click “Edit” & rdquo;;

6. Click “Add” button;

7. After typing Everyone, press “ld”; OK”;

8 In the permission selection field, check the appropriate permissions that will be given to Everyone.

Step 4: Firewall Settings

1. Open “Control Panel/System and Security/Allow App via Windows Firewall", <;Change Settings>;

2. Check the <;File and Printer Sharing" > and click “OK”.
