Win8 headphones have no sound?

If you encounter no sound problems in Win8, you can solve the problem as follows:

First, try to download a new driver. See How to find the hardware driver for instructions on finding a driver.

If the driver cannot be installed, try installing it in compatibility mode:

1) If the driver is already installed, uninstall it. Then, when installing or reinstalling, right-click (or touch) the driver and select <;Compatibility Troubleshooting”.

2) Click “try the suggested settings" in the following window, click “Start Program”.

3) After installation, check if it works.

If the audio driver is installed and working, but there is still no sound, try the following:

If you have an external speaker:

Is the speaker connected to the PC correctly? If power is required, is the power turned on? Is it turned on?

Is the sound device disabled?

A. On the desktop, right click (or touch) in the taskbar. Speaker icon, then select “Playback device”.

B. Right-click (or touch) a white blank area and select “Show disconnected devices> and “Show disabled devices”.

C. If you see the speaker and headset icons at this time, right-click (or touch) the correct sound device and select “Set as default device”.

o Audio service not started:

A. Search “Services.msc”.

B. Scroll through the list of services, right-click (or touch) “Windows Audio” and select “Start”.

Finally, please check to make sure the related items are also started:
