Windows8 mail application use Raiders

I. Preparations

In the previous preparations, we needed a device with a Windows 8 operating system and a Microsoft account.

Second, open the Windows8 mail application

First in the Windows8 start desktop, find and click the Windows8 mail application tile.

When you first enter the Windows 8 Mail app, you will be prompted to "Add Microsoft Account", enter the registered Microsoft account and password, and then click "Save".

According to the network situation, wait a moment to enter the Windows8 mail application. The initial screen is the mailbox of the Microsoft account.

Third, add other accounts

Windows 8 mail application provides Exchange Activesync (EAS), IMAP and POP three types of accounts in the list, but in fact POP accounts can not be successfully added .

So we first need to confirm whether to support EAS account or IMAP account in the help information of the mail service provider.

Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) is Microsoft's mail synchronization protocol that delivers emails quickly and efficiently, and supports mail, contacts, and calendar synchronization.

IMAP is a mail-only protocol. Compared to the POP protocol, IMAP can not download the content of the mail to the local area, and can directly control the mailbox.

These two types of accounts are added in much the same way. First, you need to move the mouse to the upper right or lower right corner, click “Set" in the side charm, and then click “ Account”.

Then in the "Accounts" list, the accounts that have been added are displayed, click “Add Account”.

Pre-installed "Hotmail", " Outlook" and "Google"", under "Other Accounts", the account types that other apps installed by the user can be associated with. For example, "QQ", "163 mailbox" and so on.

Select "Other accounts" here, of course, you can also use the account type that has been preset.

Choose an EAS account or an IMAP account.
