Install Win8.1 via Windows Store Update

Go to the Win8.1 Preview page and click on Download Win8.1 Preview Version Update Widget.

Some tablets and PCs running the newer 32-bit Atom processor will require the graphics card driver to be updated before running Win8.1 Preview. These tablets and PCs include: Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2, ASUS VivoTab, HP Envy X2, HP ElitePad 900, Samsung ATIV Smart PC and Fujitsu ARROWS Tab. Microsoft is working closely with Intel and OEM partners to provide updated drivers that will be installed with the Win8.1 preview.

Please note: If you are using Windows RT and have installed a language pack, please do not install Windows RT 8.1 Preview. Microsoft will provide the corresponding upgrade plan in the near future, and please pay close attention to it.
