Recently, in a post on the Extreme Windows blog, Microsoft highlighted a new feature in Windows 8 -- File History (archive history files). Microsoft pointed out that this feature will let users no longer have to worry about data loss, because File History can automatically back up files, and can also store multiple backup files.

It is reported that this new feature in Win8 will protect all or part of the files stored in the library. Users can also add additional folders to the library, and File History will automatically check the user's files and back them up when an abnormality is detected.

According to reports, File History supports the BitLocker format and can be backed up to the Storage Space. Users can also set up a folder to store backup files.

So how do you operate this function? Users just click Win Key+W, then search for File History, then click on “turn on" in the open interface.
