How to install local loopback network card on Win8

According to the needs of networking, it is inevitable to use a local loopback network card such as on Windows 7.

The installation method of the local loopback network card in Windows 7 has been introduced in the BLOG.

What's the difference in Windows 8?

The installation methods are the same on both systems, and can be done through the device manager and command line.

But the difference is in the "local loopback NIC name" change:

Method 1: Using the Device Manager

1. Open the Device Manager and press Operation below

Device Manager - Machine Name - Right Health - Add Obsolete Hardware

2. Click on “Add Obsolete Hardware”, the following interface appears:

The next operation of this interface has the same interface as the second method I introduced, and will be integrated later.

Method 2: From the command line

1. Place the mouse in the lower left corner. When the “Start” menu is displayed, right click and run.

Enter hdwwiz (Hardware Installation Wizard) in the Run box.

2. After confirming, the interface that appears is the same as the second one in Method 1.

The next step is the same two steps:

3. The second icon of Method 1, press “Next”, check “ Install I manually selected the hardware (advanced) from the list & rdquo;.

4. In the figure below, select “network adapter”, next step.

5. In the figure below, the left side specifies "Microsoft", and the right side selects "Microsoft KM-TEST", the next step.

6. In the figure below, keep the default, the next step.

7. In the figure below, click ““Complete” to complete the installation of the local loopback NIC.
