An article from McAkins Online shows that they found an extra command in a leaked version of the start screen's tile "Open in a New Window". This should be the way to run multiple identical applications under a single window. As you can see from the image below, displaying multiple Modern IE11 tags on the same screen will become a reality.

The second subtle change is the tile display of the traditional desktop program on the start screen, in Win8, the desktop The program's tile on the start screen uses a uniform start screen background color plus program icon. The tile of each program in Windows 8.1 will have a separate background color —— and the same background color as the main color of the program icon.

The third small change is the pattern of the background pattern of the starting screen. Windows 8.1 allows the user to individually define the hue of the pattern, no longer compelling to match the background. Some of the patterns will also have animated effects.

Finally, the article also mentions the Windows 8.1 Modern style file manager application, in which the user can directly open the exe file, which is not possible with the existing third-party file manager.
