New, Refresh, and Other Commands in Windows 8 Applications

New, refresh, and play commands are very important when using apps. These are operational commands, such as adding attachments to a message and making the text bold, pausing and skipping tracks while listening to music. Although these commands are very important, they are only occasionally needed and take up a lot of space. In order for you to do something in full screen mode (such as reading a web page or watching a video), the application commands will be hidden when you don't need them. When you are ready to use these commands, they will appear at the top or bottom of the screen, or as a menu for the selected item. For example, on the "Start" screen, you can swipe up or right click to view all application commands, or swipe down or right click on a tile to select it and see the changes. The way the tile is applied.
The following is a way to view most of the application commands: Using the touch function, swipe up from the bottom edge or swipe down from the top edge, then click on the desired command. Using the mouse, right click in the app and click on the desired command. Here's how to view the commands that apply to a particular item:

Use touch, swipe down or swipe an item (such as a tile or photo) to select it, then click the desired command. Using the mouse, right-click an item (such as a tile or photo) to select it, then click the command you want.
