        Windows RT jailbreak tool released

Earlier this week, a security researcher named clrokr found an imperfect jailbreak for Windows RT, but the whole jailbreak process was cumbersome and had to be re-operated every time it was restarted. Used by ordinary users.

According to The Next Web, a user named netham 45 on the XDA Developer Forum released an easy-to-use Windows RT jailbreak tool based on clrokr's jailbreak method. This jailbreak tool is a batch file that automatically repeats the entire jailbreak process, making it possible for ordinary users to jailbreak daily.

In the face of clrokr's jailbreak, Microsoft has shown a very generous attitude. They pointed out that clrokr's jailbreak is not a security breach. The hacker found a very complicated and clever way, and Microsoft appreciated his talent. Because this method is very complicated, Microsoft is not worried that ordinary users will follow suit, and there is no guarantee that such jailbreak will be effective in future versions.

The emergence of the batch jailbreak tool dismissed Microsoft's attitude of "don't worry". Netham 45 said that first of all, Microsoft may not be able to release patches that prevent jailbreaking. Even if the relevant patches appear, they can use the restore partition to bypass the patch jailbreak.

Jailbreak Windows RT is able to run unsigned desktop applications. Netham 45 has successfully ported PuTTy, TightVNC and BOCHS to Windows RT. We will probably see Windows RT notebooks running Windows 95.
