Win8 opens the limit number of account login errors

Users who have used online banking and Alipay know that in the process of login, if 5 password errors occur, they will be restricted from logging in. Now Win8 has also added this security mechanism, but the default is not turned on. Users who have security concerns about data and privacy can turn this feature on and reduce the risk of being exploded.

Windows8 Enables limit the number of account login errors and prohibits:

Shortcut Key: Win+r Enter gpedit.msc Find Computer Configuration - Windows Settings - Security Settings - Account Policy – Account Lockout Threshold – Double-click on and enter the number of times you want to limit.

This security setting determines the number of failed login attempts that caused a user account to be locked out. This locked account cannot be used until the administrator resets the locked account or the account lockout time expires. You can set the number of login attempt failures to a value between 0 and 999. If you set the value to 0, the account will never be locked.

A failed password attempt on a workstation or member server locked with a Ctrl+Alt+Del or password-protected screen saver will count as a failed login attempt.
