Recently, however, Microsoft has launched a new service for genuine Win8 users in the mainland: Win8 users with confirmed keys can apply for a CD-ROM version of Windows 8 with a shipping fee of 160 yuan.

According to Microsoft customer service staff, the CD version of Win8 will be mailed back to China from Singapore, 160 yuan is only the postage delivered to the transportation company, not the cost of Microsoft products. Microsoft said that the CD-ROM service is designed to meet the backup and collection needs of Win8 users.

After Microsoft officially released Win8 on October 26, Microsoft did not release a CD version in mainland China. Users can only obtain Win8 through the online upgrade method of 248 yuan. However, compared with a simple key, the disc is not easy to lose and can be stored for a long time, so Microsoft still provides this kind of mailing CD service.
