Win10 official version can automatically activate after changing the hard disk

The activation mechanism of Win10 official version is relatively advanced, and the method of binding devices is adopted. Therefore, as long as you have activated it once on the current device, you can activate it directly in the future without having to enter the product key. This is also the real reason why the majority of Win7/Win8.1 upgrade users do not need to activate the key.

However, some users have questions. On Twitter, some users asked Microsoft Vice President Gabriel Aul to reinstall Windows 10 (replace the hard drive) and log in with the Microsoft account to activate normally if the current hard drive has broken. Aul said that if Win10 was activated after installing this broken old hard drive (<<>

), it should be able to replace (hard disk), install Win10 again and reactivate it.

The reason why Win10 activation is not affected by the hard disk is because the activation information is not saved in the hard disk, but through the record of the Microsoft server. Therefore, the addition and replacement of such storage devices and other peripherals will not affect the Win10 activation effect.
