Problems encountered when installing Win7

Win7 has been loved by many friends. Due to XP's “Retirement”, there are more and more friends who download and install Win7. With more people installing, the problems of installation are more and more easy to find. The problem with the Win7 installation is simple to explain to everyone.

(1) The installer refuses to install or start.

If the hardware components are not compatible with Windows
7, it may cause the installation to fail or the installer to fail to start. So before installation, make sure that Windows
7 can detect all system hardware, and that these hardware are included in the Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) of Windows
7. It is recommended that you perform the necessary compatibility checks before installing Windows
7. If you have already started the installation, it is too late to check compatibility. If it is an upgrade installation or a dual system installation, I can see that I can reboot to the original system, and then start the installation program for detection with the following parameters. “/1394debug:” Enable kernel debugging on specific channels of the Firewire (IEEE 1394) port. Enable kernel debugging via the COM1 or COM2 port. Enable kernel debugging by going to the USB port of a specific target device. These options put the installer in debug mode to help determine the cause of the failure. If the installer detects a hardware conflict, you can configure the hardware to eliminate the conflict.

(2) The installer reports a media or DVD error.

If you install directly from the installation CD of Windows 7, or install from the network through a distribution share, you may also encounter a media error that causes the installation to fail. For the case of installing from a DVD, we can try to clean the DVD drive so that it can read the disk better or replace the CD-ROM or CD-ROM. For enterprise users, the client generally performs shared installation from the shared release. Generally, the share does not include all the installation files, or there is a problem with the shared network connection. You can debug from these two aspects.

(3), installer report system test bed?

Microsoft recently announced the minimum hardware resource requirements for Windows 7 installation, namely at least 512MB of memory and about 25GB of hard disk space. For some old machine users, the installer fails to start if the minimum memory requirements for Windows 7 installation are not met. If the installer can be started, but it detects that there is not enough space on the hard disk, it will not be installed. Unless we rebuild the partition or delete the original partition, we have enough space to install the OS
. For such installation failures, Windows 7 will have a clear error message, and troubleshooting is of course very easy.

(4), the installation program suddenly stops responding.

Excluding all the above factors, sometimes we are still experiencing a situation where the installer suddenly stops. Normally, the installation of Windows 7 was going smoothly, and suddenly we found that the installation stopped responding and stopped the installation in the current interface without any progress. In this case, sometimes we will see the error message of stop, sometimes there is nothing, the system is like a crash.

If there is an error message to install stop, but most of the stop errors are some obscure error codes, and can't tell us exactly where the problem is. At this point, we can take note of these error numbers or codes, then go to the Microsoft Knowledge Base () to find out the detailed information, and then debug. At this point, the installation cannot be performed. We usually need to press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart the computer to interrupt the error. In some cases, pressing the combination key is invalid. We need to press the power button on the computer to force the system to restart. In general, after we restart the computer, we will go directly to the installer and the installation will continue. In some cases, you may also see the boot menu, and if this is the case, we can select the “Windows Installer” option to let the installer continue. If the installer stops responding again, you will need to restart your computer, and sometimes you may need to try multiple times to complete the installation. Such failures are generally caused by some sudden factors, and a restart can solve the problem. However, memory and CPU may also be the source of the problem, which requires us to make more complicated troubleshooting, in general, replacing the hardware will solve the problem.

When installing win7, if there is a situation other than Xiaobian analysis, you can go to the experts, or call Microsoft to learn more, don’t worry about any problems, and finally put yourself The computer
is all bad.
