How to solve the Event Log service 4201 error under Windows 7 system

  

After some optimization of the Windows
7 system or changing the user rights, it will cause the Window7 system's "Event Viewer" to fail to start. When the related service is not running, and the corresponding service Windows
Event Log is manually started, a 4201 error will occur. For this error, there are many ways to delete the user rights of a folder, or to enter a safe mode to transfer or delete a folder, or even use other software. Many of these methods are continued from the Vista system. The Windows
7 system is not necessarily effective. Today, we will introduce a simple and effective solution.

Operation Steps

Open the Explorer, find the C:\\windows\\system32\\logfiles\\wmi\\RTbackup folder, right click to call its properties, in the "Security" option Under the card, there may be no SYSTEM user in the group or username, and continue to click “edit”.


In the pop-up permission window, click “Add”, then in the “Select User or Group" window, enter “SYSTEM” into “ In the box of the object name to select (example) & rdquo;, click OK to return to the permission window.


Under the Permissions window, under "SYSTEM Permissions", set “Full Control" to “Allow”.


Click on “OK" in the pop-up "Windows Security" window, and then all the way to exit the previously opened window.


After rebooting, restart Windows Event Log in “Services, this problem should be solved.
