How to disable autoplay in Windows8

  

The autoplay feature of Windows
has become a problem for users because most viruses spread through USB or CD/DVD autoplay and operation. In Microsoft's latest Windows
8OS
, autoplay is turned on by default. When inserting a CD/DVD or USB, you will see a notification in the upper right corner. After that, you will see an interface similar to the one below, you can choose to operate.

via the control panel 1. Open the Control Panel and find the AutoPlay option.


2. After opening the AutoPlay Options page, uncheck Use autoplay for all media and devices.

by Group Policy Editor, enter gpedit.msc in the Run window, or search for gpedit.msc from the charm toolbar to open the Local Group Policy Editor. Then click on Computer Configuration & Rarr; Management Template & Rarr; Windows Components & Rarr; Auto Play Strategy.


2, then right-click the AutoPlay setting in the AutoPlay policy and select Edit.
