Four steps to make Win7 "SP2" ISO image In the fear of reloading the patch more problems

For Win7 users, since SP1 there has not been a new service package release. Although it was released in 2016, “convenient update package” was not integrated into the image. Users can create the so-called "SP2" ISO image by themselves. After installing Windows 7 with this image, you don't have to install endless patches as before.

Based on the “64-bit Win7 Ultimate SP1 Image”, share with you how to integrate the “Quick Update Package” and other fixes into the image. Just follow the five steps below, the operation is not difficult, the key is to be careful and patient.

The specific steps are as follows:

First, extract install.wim

This is not difficult, no matter which version of Win7 SP1 you use (note, you should choose the image with SP1) Otherwise, the workload is larger), enter X:\\sources (X is the drive letter, the user who has the CD-ROM drive on hand can directly extract the CD into the computer and extract it; the user with the image can use the virtual drive to extract, it is recommended to use soft The virtual drive of the media cube, find the install.wim and copy it to the target location (the specific location is free, copy this article to C:\\ithome\\images).

Second, download and make the required patches

1, KB3020369 (April 2015 Servicing Stack Update): 32 bits (4.0MB)| |  64-bit (9.1MB)

2, KB3125574 (April 2016 Convenience Update Rollup): 32-bit (316MB)| |  64-bit (477MB)

3. In the command prompt of the administrator's permission, use the DISM tool to convert the above MSU format patch to CAB format. The command is as follows:

expand -f: * C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\windows6.1-kb3020369-x64_5393066469758e619f21731fc31ff2d109595445.msu C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\CABs

expand -f:* C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\windows6.1-kb3125574-v4 -x64_2dafb1d203c8964239af3048b5dd4b1264cd93b9.msu C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\CABs

Hint 1: Before using the above command to convert, you need to clear the patch download path. For example, the above command indicates that the patch is downloaded to “C: \\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\”, that is to say, the above path can be modified according to your actual situation, and must be consistent with the actual path.

Hint 2: The output path should also be determined according to the actual situation, that is, the last part of the above command “C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\CABs” must exist actually, otherwise the command cannot be executed, the user needs to determine the target in advance. Whether the folder exists, if there is no need to replace the path or the folder shown in the new command.

Hint 3: The above commands must be executed in the patch file directory. For example, the above commands need to be executed under “C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh”.

Three, integrate the patch into install.wim

1, use the following command to view the current version of install.wim:

DISM /get-imageinfo /imagefile:c :\\ithome\\images\\install.wim

2. Record the current version of install.wim, as shown in the following figure. The image used includes multiple versions of Home, Professional, and Ultimate. You want to install the patch in the flagship version. The next step is to tell the computer "Windows 7 Ultimate" information (a single version of the image only needs to remember the actual version of the information content, regardless of which version is used).

3. Use the following command to load install.wim. Note that the spaces in the command are indispensable. The punctuation is in English:

Dism /Mount-Image /ImageFile:C:\\ithome \\images\\install.wim /Name:"Windows 7 Ultimate" /MountDir:C:\\ithome\\offline

Hint 4: The output path in the above command (such as C:\\ in the above command) Ithome\\offline) still has to exist beforehand, this command does not have the role of creating a new folder.

4. Deploy KB3020369. This patch must be deployed first, because it is a prerequisite for the installation of the "convenient update package" KB3125574. Use the following command to install offline:

Dism /Image:C:\\ithome\\offline /Add-Package /PackagePath: C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\CABs\\Windows6.1-KB3020369-x64.cab

5, you can use the following command to view the installation situation, you can see the prompt & ldquo; installation hangs & rdquo; :

Dism /Image:C:\\ithome\\offline /Get-Packages

6, deploy KB3125574, use the following command:

Dism /Image:C:\\ithome \\offline /Add-Package /PackagePath:C:\\ithome\\Window7MediaRefresh\\CABs\\Windows6.1-KB3125574-v4-x64.cab

Because the patch is large, the command execution may take a minute or two. time. After installation, use the step 5 command again to check the installation status, and it is still "Installation Suspend". This is because these patches need to be installed after the system is installed.

7, package install.wim

The two patches have been successfully "plug" to install.wim, you need to repackage the image again, use the following command (pictured above):

Dism /Unmount-Image /MountDir:C:\\ithome\\offline /Commit

Fouring the new install.wim into an ISO image

1. Use the floppy disk to open the Win7 SP1 image through UltraISO. The software download can be done in the software housekeeper of the soft media cube (click to download)

2, replace the new version of install.wim and save it (above)

5. Verify the installation

After installing the system using the above image, you can use the following command to check whether the above two patches are successfully installed (you need to open the command prompt with administrator privileges):

Dism /Online /Get-Packages

Hint 5: The above method also applies to 32-bit Win7, and is suitable for Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate and Enterprise The key is that users must figure out the image version they have on hand and match it when integrating patches.

Tips 6: This article refers to this image as "SP2"; it is not unfounded, Microsoft engineer Andrei Stoica said in response to questions from users, users can think of the above "convenient update package" KB3125574 Win7 SP2 patch, and said that Microsoft will continue to make such large update packages in the future. For example, KB3125574 will be updated at the end of 2017 to add new patch content. The purpose is to allow users to reinstall Win7 and install only one or two patches. Complete the update (above).

If you don't have time to manually create a "SP2" image, you can also download the IT Home Edition Win7“SP2” image. The image is based on the Simplified Chinese version of the 64-bit Ultimate SP1, built-in version of the latest version of the soft media cube, and Sailfish browser. After the installation is successful, you can use Rubik's Cube to optimize system settings, quickly download the necessary software for installation, and experience the thrill of fast and safe Internet access, bringing convenience to your work and life.
