Microsoft pauses Win10 PC preview push to prepare UUP update method

MicrosoftSoft announced today that they temporarily stopped the push of the Windows 10 PC Insider preview because they started switching the old way of updating the system to the new Unified Update Platform (UUP).

What does this mean? If you are an Insider and you are not running the latest version of the Insider preview, you will have to wait a few days to download it, as Microsoft will no longer offer a slow and fast channel preview. Microsoft blog post: mentioning

12/2 messages: We are ready to start releasing PC versions to Insider members using UUP. In preparation for this, we will suspend fast and slow push of all PC versions starting this evening (12/2 on Friday). We will start pushing the latest version from UUP. Based on the upgrade criteria for each channel, we start with the internal channel and then push it to the Insider member. We are excited to be able to release PC previews to Insider members using UUP! The mobile version is not affected by this and can still be updated normally.

It is unclear how long Microsoft will pause the push. It is expected that Insider members will be able to push after the internal channel test is completed.
