First find the Wox icon in the system tray, right click on the icon and select the “Settings” command in the menu. Now select the “General” tab in the pop-up window, and then select “Chinese” in the "Language" list (Figure 2). Next click on the "plugin" tab, and in the pop-up list, find “web search” this, then set it in the right window. If Wox only has search function, then there is no need to use this tool. In fact, the Wox software itself has a lot of function plug-ins, through which you can greatly expand the functionality of Wox. The function plug-ins of the software can be divided into system plug-ins and extensions, in which system functions can be quickly invoked by using system plug-ins. For example, if we want to perform calculations, we usually need to open the system's calculator to operate. Now the user only needs to enter the corresponding calculation formula in the input box, such as “3*8-23” etc., the result can be displayed immediately below (Figure 4).

Some users like to use the keyboard to operate, so the frequency of using the shortcut key Win+R will be greatly increased, and Wox can also easily implement Win+R function. The user only needs to enter the symbol “>” in the input box, and then follow the relevant operation commands. For example, “> dir” or “> ping” etc. However, you need to be reminded that after using Wox this software, Win+R shortcuts will be taken over by it. The user can open the configuration window of the software according to the previous method, and find the “command line” option to resume the operation (Figure 5).

Small Tips:

Because of the existence of the system plug-in, you can directly open the function by entering the name of the system function through the input box, for example, enter “ldx;cx”” “Programs and Features” Features.

Other Functional Plugin Implementations

In addition to the use of system plugins, extensions can be used to further extend the functionality of the software. But to use the extension, you first need to install the appropriate plugin according to your personal habits. First log in to the official website of the Wox software, click on the plugin to see all the plugin information.

The installation method of the plugin is very simple. Enter ""wpm install plugin name" in the input box. For example, if we want to install a weather forecast plugin, just enter “wpm install Weather” and the software will automatically find the plugin.

Find back directly after searching, then a prompt box will pop up, and then you can agree to the installation. After the plug-in installation is complete, you need to restart the software. When we want to query the weather forecast, we only need to input “Weather + City Name Full spell”, just enter the “Weather Forecast for Beijing” and enter “ldquo; Weather beijing” (Figure 6).

If the user is not used to triggering the weather forecast, then you can also customize the trigger keyword.
