Win8 install patch KB3123862 patch after starting the screen right-click menu exception?

  

Microsoft recently pushed the update number KB3123862 to Win8.1 users, according to the description of the official knowledge base article, the patch is mainly used to prompt the user Win10 new features, prompt users to upgrade. However, according to the feedback from users qwetional, after installing the patch, some abnormalities appeared in the right-click menu of the start screen.

As shown in the figure below, under the 125% DPI zoom, after installing the patch, the right-click menu size and font size are smaller, and the menu check mark (√) and the second-level menu fold mark (> There is a small black box behind the icon, which looks very unattractive.

If you don't have a plan to upgrade Windows 10 and you're experiencing this issue (under 125% DPI scaling), you'll need to uninstall and hide this update. Of course, if you can stand it, it doesn't matter.
