Win10/win8.1/win7 update cumulative patch KB3114717 after Office 2013 components can not start

  

Microsoft patch trouble, we probably have become accustomed to it. Recently, a patch numbered KB3114717 pushed by Microsoft has caused confusion. This patch is mainly used to fix problems in Office 2013. As a result, some components in Office 2013, including Word and Outlook, cannot be started. The impact system includes Win7, Win8.1 and Win10.

After installing the patch, when the user starts Word 2013, the system will experience 100% CPU usage. During this period, the user cannot perform any other operations and can only force the process to end. And Word 2013 can't be opened in safe mode, doc, docx documents are affected.

Microsoft has now removed KB3114717 and confirmed the issue. But so far Microsoft has not given a better solution, only the user is recommended to delete the update.

Delete the update method: Open the traditional control panel — program and function — view the installed update & mdash; then find the patch numbered KB3114717 to uninstall and restart the system.
