Microsoft Win10 store development update: a variety of new advertising toolkit features

If you are a Win10 developer, then advertising revenue may be worthy of concern.

Recently, Microsoft Store has been updated with the addition of an advertising toolkit to integrate the pubCenter service into the Dev Center, making it easier for developers to streamline the process of placing ads.

Until now, pubCenter is used to create ads, Dev Center is used to submit/manage applications, and with this update, Dev Center will take on some of the important features of pubCenter.

pubCenter is about to be phased out, and Microsoft recommends that developers use Dev Center.

Now that developers enter the Dev Center, they will be referred to the pubCenter account link, where they can manage payment information. If pubCenter and Dev Center have the same Microsoft account, they can be automatically integrated.

With the integration of pubCenter and Dev Center, some new Microsoft initiatives are being implemented. If developers want to create a game for children under the age of 13, Microsoft will automatically implement the COPPA setting (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) in September this year, and launch ads suitable for children in apps and games.

In addition, the Windows 10 store also adds tracking features that allow advertisers to directly view where consumers are coming from. With this feature, developers can also view page visits and downloads to see how many users are in the 24-hour visitor. Downloaded apps and games. (via: WinBeta)
