User Tucao: Win10 brightness adjustment option is not as good as Win8.1 flexible

"Brightness adjustment> is an indispensable important function for portable devices such as laptops and tablets. Because in battery mode, the screen brightness has a great impact on the battery's battery life. In Win10, this feature is also ubiquitous, and the brightness of the taskbar battery icon, operation center, power options, etc. can be adjusted. However, this feature is currently not satisfactory to all users, because the "Brightness Adjustment" option in the Modern interface is not as flexible as Win8.1.

As shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2:

In the battery icon and operation center, each time you click the brightness icon, you can only increase the brightness by 25% (after reaching 100%, clicking again will directly reduce to 25%)

in Windows 8.1, the user After clicking the brightness adjustment button in the right column, it can be adjusted by the slider, not limited to 25% adjustment range. Microsoft's setting in Win10 may be easier considering the current method, because many users may not care about the specific value of brightness, just click to do "dark (25%) & rarr; in (50%) & rarr; (75%) → bright (100%) & rdquo; four mode adjustment. However, from the feedback of the Microsoft community, it seems that there are still many users who are willing to “tangle” the brightness value, and prefer the “advanced” adjustment method.
Figure 4 shows: Using the notebook function keys to adjust the screen display of Win10 brightness

In fact, in Win10, there is still a traditional "step by step" adjustment mode figure. For example, when using the keyboard function keys for adjustment, the screen will still have a brightness slider, which is much more flexible than the above. But the most flexible brightness adjustment is still in the “Power Options”, users can make more precise adjustments by mouse or touch operation, at least from the Win7 era.
The picture brightness adjustment slider in the power supply option is shown in Figure 5.

In fact, these screen brightness adjustment methods arranged by Microsoft in Win10 should be useful. The icon mode of the battery icon and the operation center is more suitable for the user of the touch screen device. After all, the brightness can be adjusted by one or two. It is also convenient for notebook users to make more precise adjustments through function keys. However, Microsoft seems to need to consider the opinions of more users, because users have different habits, some people prefer to use precise adjustment methods, and everyone has been used to the slider mode for so many years, so Microsoft has adjusted the brightness in Win10. Blocks only "hidden" in the power options, it will certainly cause some users to spit.
