Win7 upgrade Win10 failure prompt Driver Power State Falure error how to do?

In the process of upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 10 today, there was a "Driver Power State Falure" error, which caused more than half of the upgrade process to be interrupted and the system rolled back to Windows 7. After Baidu, it was found that this error is highly correlated with the hardware driver (especially the driver of the discrete graphics card). No way, I can only do a little cleanup in Windows 7, restart the upgrade again, and finally succeeded.

1. Remove the driver of the discrete graphics card.

Start ——>Programs——> Uninstall the program, check all the installed programs, and delete all the unused applications.

Among them, the hardware driver is the focus of inspection and deletion, especially the driver of the discrete graphics card. According to the results of Baidu search, it is the focus of deletion.

2, the default value of the BIOS is loaded.

Restart, press F2 (or enter other BIOS buttons), press F9 to perform the load default.

3. Select YES and press Enter to implement the operation of loading the default settings and save the operation results.

4. Adjust the default startup items of multiple systems.

If you install Windows 7 + Windows 10 dual system like me (where Windows 7 is the system you want to upgrade today), and the default boot system is not Windows 7, then adjust the priority boot order. Let Windows 7 be in the first place.

When launching into the system selection interface, we click on “change the default or select another option”.

5. In the next interface, click “select default operating system”.

6. Finally, choose Windows 7 and make it the default startup option.

After the above operation, restart the Windows 10 upgrade program and finally successfully upgrade.
