Microsoft officially announced Windows 10 system and hardware requirements

  

Microsoft has announced Windows 10 running hardware requirements: processor: 1GHz or faster processor or SoC, memory: 1GB (32-bit) or 2 GB (64- Bit), hard disk space: 16 GB (32-bit), 20 GB (64-bit), graphics card: DirectX 9 or higher and WDDM 1.0 driver, display resolution: 1024x600. It can be seen that the overall requirements for running Windows 10 are quite low, but there are additional requirements to take advantage of all the new features, some of which will be limited to certain regions.

Cortana is only available to Windows 10 users in the US, UK, China, France, Italy, Germany and Spain. Speech recognition will vary from microphone to microphone. For a better voice experience, you will need a high fidelity microphone array and corresponding hardware drivers. Windows Hello requires a dedicated infrared camera for facial recognition or iris detection or fingerprint readers that need to support the Windows Biometric Framework.

The Continuum feature works on all Windows 10 versions, but you have to manually turn on/off the "Plate Mode" to turn it on and off through the Action Center. Tablet PCs and 2-in-1 products must support GPIO, and laptops must be automatically configurable to enter "Platform Mode".

Playing music and video streams via Xbox music or Xbox video is only available in certain regions. Two-factor authentication requires a PIN, biometric (fingerprint reader or infrared camera), or a WiFi or Bluetooth enabled phone. To use touch, you need a tablet or monitor that supports multi-touch. Some features require a Microsoft account. Some games and programs may require a graphics card to support DirectX 10 or higher for optimal performance. The BitLocker To Go feature requires a USB flash drive (Windows 10 Professional only). BitLocker requires Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 1.2, TPM 2.0 or USB flash drive (Windows 10 Professional and Windows 10 Enterprise). The client's Hyper-V requires a 64-bit system. Miracast needs to support WDDM1.3 graphics driver and Wi-Fi adapter. Wi-Fi connection, direct printing requires a Wi-Fi adapter, Wi-Fi Direct connection, Wi-Fi Direct printing on the device

Microsoft recommends that users spend an hour on Winows 10 installation, newer devices should It takes only about 20 minutes to complete the installation process, provided that the computer has pre-installed the installation files for the new operating system.
